The Plug Drink: Client Work
The Plug Drink is a wellness brand that makes liver-health products, primarily The Plug Drink. Working with them as a graphic design intern gave me great real-world experience working at a fast-growing startup, working across both print and digital projects, contributing to Instagram hard posts, seamless carousels, a full-length mocktail recipe book, and multiple smaller liver-health focused publications.

Project Type:
Graphic Design, Social Media Content
Role:
Graphic Design Intern, Layout Designer
Tools:
Adobe Creative Suite (Ai, Ps, Ae, Id), Procreate
Timeline:
April—December 2025

What I Worked On
Mocktail Book: Co-designed and helped illustrated a recipe book with 50 original mocktail and drink recipes. I helped created layouts, section covers, and illustrations, and helped make sure the design system felt consistent and accessible across all pages.
Social & Campaign Graphics: Designed content for social media, including Instagram stories, seasonal promo graphics for the launch of The Plug Pill Jars, functional, seamless carousels, and short motion graphic pieces.
Brand Consistency & QA: Helped refine and clean up design systems, from fixing illustration shading and layout pacing to catching inconsistencies before files went out. I learned how to balance my own design voice with the brand’s identity and how to advocate for accessibility and cohesion.
Collaboration: Partnered with fellow graphic design interns and the social media team, sharing files, iterating on feedback, and making sure our work looked unified, even when several people were designing at once.

02
Results & Impact
This internship provided real-world experience in graphic and editorial design, print layout, and social media content creation, showing me how to design at scale for a high-growth startup.
I left with a portfolio of live campaign work and spreads (including a 50+ page ebook) that contributed to a 100% increase in Instagram engagement.
During my time there, I was honored as a Team Member Spotlight for my contributions to the brand's visual identity.
